About Axemere

Infrastructure for governed AI execution.

The Problem

As AI API usage grows across an organization, the same gaps surface everywhere: provider credentials scattered across services and developer machines, no consistent view of what's being called or what it's costing, and no way to enforce the rules that matter: which models are allowed, which workloads can spend what, what happens when something looks wrong.

Most teams patch this with environment variables, internal proxy scripts, and shared keys. It works until it doesn't. And when something goes wrong, there's no record of what happened.

What We Build

Axemere Gateway is an AI API gateway that sits between your applications and your AI providers. It handles credential management, policy enforcement, spend tracking, and execution recording, without requiring changes to how your code calls AI APIs.

The free self-hosted gateway is the foundation. The managed cloud layer adds organization-wide visibility, multi-gateway management, and enterprise governance as your needs grow.

One thing Axemere never does: store, log, or access the content of AI requests or responses. Records contain only execution metadata: provider, model, token counts, cost, policy decision. The data stays yours.

The Platform

  • Axemere Gateway: The gateway runtime. Self-host for free or run as a managed service. Enforces policies, manages credentials, records every request.
  • Core Platform: Cloud management layer. Organization management, API keys, fleet visibility, records, and analytics across all your gateways.
  • Advanced Governance: Risk scoring, approval workflows, and quarantine for high-stakes or anomalous requests.
  • Advanced Analytics: Spend and usage breakdowns by workload, model, credential, project, account, and customer.
  • Ledger: Cryptographically verifiable execution records. Prove that a specific request was processed, without Axemere holding the content.

Our Mission

Every AI request your organization makes should be governed, visible, and verifiable, without adding friction for the developers building with it. That's what we're building toward.

The Team

The Axemere team carries 30+ years of experience building and shipping software across an unusually wide range of domains: low-level networking, IoT, MMOGs, machine learning, mobile, desktop, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise platforms. That breadth is intentional: the hardest infrastructure problems don't stay in one layer.

We've built and operated systems at both consumer and enterprise scale (B2C platforms measured in hundreds of millions of daily active users, and B2B infrastructure deployed across large organizational fleets) across iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, multiple cloud environments, and large-scale on-premises deployments. That scale teaches you things about reliability, observability, and operational discipline that you can't learn any other way.

Axemere is a different kind of product, but it draws on the same fundamentals: a networked system that has to be fast, correct, and operationally invisible under load. We built it because we've operated large software systems in environments where AI governance didn't exist yet, and we know exactly what that costs when things go wrong.
