Get Started Wizard
For: New Axemere users completing initial gateway setup through the console.
The Get Started Wizard guides you through the minimum steps needed to route your first AI request through the Axemere gateway. It opens automatically on first login and closes once all steps are complete.

Choosing a Gateway Track
At the top of the wizard, select your deployment model:

| Managed Gateway | Teams that want zero infrastructure | Everything: hosting, scaling, TLS |
| Self-Hosted Gateway | Teams that need data residency or on-prem deployment | Policies, credentials, and analytics only |
Your selection is saved. Switching tracks updates the step list immediately.
Step-by-Step Guides
The wizard walks you through the same steps covered in detail in the quick start guides:
- Managed Gateway → Managed Gateway Quick Start
- Self-Hosted + Control Plane → Self-Hosted + CP Connected
Follow the appropriate guide to complete each step; the wizard tracks your progress automatically as you go.
Progress Tracking
Steps complete automatically based on live console data:
- Managed Gateway has 5 steps; Self-Hosted has 4. Steps 1–3 (managed) or 1–2 (self-hosted) detect actual objects (subscriptions, credentials, nodes) via the API.
- The final step ("Send your first request") polls every 10 seconds once prerequisites are met and turns green the moment the first request appears in dashboard traffic data.
- The overall progress bar updates in real time.
Steps are gated; a locked step (shown with a lock icon) cannot be opened until the previous step is complete.
Re-Opening the Wizard
Once all steps complete, the wizard auto-dismisses and the dashboard stops redirecting here. To re-open it manually:
- Go to console.axemere.ai/getting-started directly, or
- Open it from the Help menu (bottom of the sidebar).
